My name is Daniel Thurber, I am a New York City-based history writer and video-maker.  I started Bookworm History in 2013 as a YouTube channel to have an outlet for my ramblings about the fascinating stories behind great works of literature.  Since then it evolved into what you see here, a celebration of all the weird, wild, and wonderful that history has to offer!

This site is also home to the show “City Full of History”, featuring unappreciated, unsung, yet fascinating stories New York City has to offer!
